PARIS - finally !!!!!

We left London St Pancras rail station 11.31 am Sun morning. The train station was absolutely beautiful, a restored hotel. Across the road was King's Cross stn, where the 1st of Harry Potter's movies was filmed. The train ride took 90 mins & was mostly underground in the tunnel that crosses the English Channel, joining England & France. We then caught the metro to our apartment. Poor Bill had to carry our 3 suitcases up a "few" stairs as there were no escalators !!!! A good workout for him ha ha. It was very funny walking abt & listening to people talking French. We tried to order pizza for dinner, which was a challenge as it was all in French & a tiny little shop & nobody could speak English, we managed to ask 3 lovely young girls to help us. We ended up with lots of strange things on our pizza !!!!! At least we kept everybody entertained !!! Very very tired from all our travelling but enjoying it SOOOO much.
